Authorities responded to the residence shortly after 7:12 a.m. on September 21 following a 911 call reporting two people unresponsive. Investigators say the preliminary findings indicate that Joanne fatally shot John before taking her own life. The circumstances surrounding the tragedy remain under investigation, and officials have not established a motive. The medical examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death.
