Some moments change everything. Some goodbyes arrive far too soon, leaving behind a silence that words can never completely fill. Today, we remember Bennie L. Woodson, 42, of Massillon, Ohio, and Kiersten E. Narad, 34, of Midland, Pennsylvania, whose lives were tragically taken in a heartbreaking two-vehicle crash on Sunday evening, September 20, in Canton, Ohio.
At approximately 8:24 p.m., a collision occurred on Navarre Road SW, bringing unimaginable sorrow to two families and to all who knew and loved them. Bennie was pronounced deceased at the scene, as was Kiersten. Behind the heartbreaking news are two human beings with stories, dreams, memories, laughter, friendships, and families who will forever feel their absence.
Bennie and Kiersten were more than names in a tragic report. They were deeply loved individuals whose presence mattered. They were part of someone’s everyday life, someone’s cherished memories, someone’s reason to smile. And now, those who loved them must carry forward with memories that have suddenly become even more precious.
A 12-year-old girl and a 36-year-old man who were also involved survived, with their injuries later determined to be non-life-threatening. We hold hope for their continued healing.
Tonight, may we pause to remember Bennie and Kiersten not for the tragedy that ended their lives, but for the lives they lived and the love they gave.
