A Young Life Gone Far Too Soon. 🕊️🖤
Elijah Baumann, 24, of Moorhead, has passed away from injuries sustained in a devastating multi-vehicle crash in Fargo, North Dakota, leaving behind a life that ended far earlier than anyone could have imagined.
On September 13, Elijah was driving a Chrysler 300 when the vehicle became involved in a serious collision on University Drive. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a Cass County deputy had attempted to stop the vehicle after it was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed, but the deputy did not pursue for safety reasons. Minutes later, the Chrysler collided with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and then a Mercedes-Benz.
Elijah was critically injured and, after days of fighting for his life, died Wednesday.
The crash also changed another young life forever. Nineteen-year-old Isaac Putney of Fargo suffered devastating injuries, including the loss of part of his left leg and a severely shattered arm. His family has described his survival as a miracle.
Behind every heartbreaking headline is a human life, a family, memories, dreams, and moments that can never be replaced. Elijah was only 24, with so much of life still ahead of him and chapters yet unwritten.
May his loved ones find strength in the memories they shared, comfort in the moments that remain, and peace in the knowledge that his life mattered.
🕯️ May Elijah Baumann rest peacefully. May his memory forever be remembered.
Gone from this world, but never forgotten. Rest easy, Elijah. 🕊️
