A Beautiful Soul Remembered Through the Tears.
In the stillness of the early morning hours on Saturday, October 3, 2026, a heartbreaking tragedy unfolded along U.S. Highway 80, just east of Quebec Road in Madison Parish, Louisiana. Shortly after 3:00 a.m., a devastating two-vehicle collision changed lives forever, claiming the lives of two Madison Parish women. Among those lost was Mara Williams, affectionately known as “Mara Maneee.” In a moment no one could have imagined, a life filled with memories, dreams, laughter, and possibilities was suddenly brought to an end.
Louisiana State Police reported that a 2021 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 80 while a 2017 Nissan Murano was traveling eastbound. For reasons that remain under investigation, the Ford crossed the centerline and struck the Nissan head-on. Mara was among those who tragically lost her life at the scene.
There are some moments when words simply do not feel big enough to carry the weight of a loss. Mara’s passing is one of those moments.
Behind the name Mara Maneee was a human being whose presence meant something.
