William Huey, Forever Remembered Beyond the Goodbye.

Some moments change everything. Some losses leave a silence that words can never truly fill. On September 15, 2026, the Springfield community was left mourning the heartbreaking loss of William Huey, 79, of Springfield, Missouri, following a tragic two-vehicle crash at Glenstone Avenue and Chestnut Expressway.

According to Springfield police, William was turning left from a parking lot in his 1996 Ford Escort when his vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by another vehicle traveling south. Despite the efforts at the scene, William sadly died from his injuries. Two others were taken to the hospital, including a passenger who suffered serious injuries.

At 79 years old, William had lived through decades filled with memories, milestones, friendships, family moments, and stories that will now be carried forward by those who knew and loved him. His passing is a reminder of how suddenly an ordinary afternoon can become a moment of unimaginable sorrow.

Behind every name in a police report is a human life—a person who mattered, who was known, who had memories worth keeping, and whose presence will be deeply missed.

May William’s memory remain a gentle light in the hearts of those who loved him. May the memories he created over his lifetime bring comfort during the difficult days ahead.

Rest peacefully, William Huey. Your journey may have ended, but your memory will continue to live on. 🕊️🕯️
