In Loving Memory of Detwan Hannah.

In loving memory of Detwan Hannah, a 35-year-old man from Brooklyn whose life was tragically cut short on a Tuesday night in Bed-Stuy. His passing leaves behind a silence that words can hardly describe—a life that should have continued, dreams that should have unfolded, and countless moments that should have still been waiting for him.

Just after 9 p.m., near Malcolm X Boulevard and Macon Street, Detwan was traveling northbound on a 2017 Kawasaki dirt bike when he encountered a dip in the roadway. The collision caused him to be thrown from the bike onto the street, where he was subsequently struck by a Mercedes-Benz traveling in the same direction.

Detwan was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, but despite efforts to save him, he sadly passed away from his injuries.

Behind every headline is a human being, a story, a family, and a heart that mattered. Detwan was more than the circumstances surrounding his final moments. He was someone who had a place in this world, someone whose presence meant something to those who knew and loved him.

Tonight, we remember Detwan Hannah with compassion and respect. May the memories he created remain brighter than the darkness of his final moments. May those who loved him find strength in one another, and may his name never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Detwan Hannah. 🕊️🕯️ Your journey ended far too soon, but your memory will forever remain.
