With hearts heavy with sorrow, we remember Daniel Matos, 33, of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, whose life was tragically taken on Friday afternoon, September 18, 2026.
Daniel’s life was far more than the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding his passing. He was a son, a loved one, a friend, and a person whose presence meant something to those fortunate enough to know him. Though his time on earth was cut painfully short, the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
Authorities said Daniel was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 000 block of North Jones Street after officers responded to a report shortly before 2 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and do not believe it was a random act of violence. The circumstances and motive remain under investigation.
Today, we pause not to remember the tragedy alone, but to remember Daniel—the life, the memories, the moments, and the love he leaves behind.
