Alyssa Mullins, Forever Eighteen, Forever Remembered.

Some losses arrive without warning, leaving behind a silence that words can never truly fill. On a Friday morning in Pottawatomie County, Kansas, a young life filled with promise was suddenly and heartbreakingly taken away.

Alyssa Mullins, 18, of Onaga, Kansas, lost her life following a devastating two-vehicle collision near Highway 63 and Doyle Creek Road, just north of St. Mary’s. The crash happened around 6:42 a.m., when a 2011 Chevrolet Impala traveling northbound appeared to cross the centerline and collided with Alyssa’s southbound 2003 Honda Civic.

Alyssa was rushed by medical helicopter to Stormont Vail Hospital with serious injuries. Despite every effort to save her, she was later pronounced dead. Another driver, Bryce Ashlock, 23, of Ogden, was also seriously injured and taken to the same hospital.

Behind this heartbreaking tragedy is a young woman whose life should have held countless more mornings, more laughter, more dreams, and more beautiful memories. Eighteen years is far too short for a story that had so many unwritten chapters.

Today, Alyssa is remembered not by the circumstances of her passing, but by the life she lived and the memories she leaves behind. May her family, friends, and everyone who loved her find strength in one another during this unimaginable time.

Some souls leave this world far too soon, but their light remains in the hearts of those who knew them.

Rest peacefully, Alyssa Mullins. 🕊️🕯️
Gone far too soon, but never forgotten.
