A Precious Little Life Gone Far Too Soon.

Julien Grayson, a precious 7-month-old boy from Charlotte, North Carolina, has died after suffering severe head injuries while reportedly in the care of babysitter Shidae Sellers, 28, also of Charlotte, who has been charged with first-degree murder. A life that had barely begun was tragically cut short, leaving behind heartbreak that words can scarcely express.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they were contacted by the Department of Social Services on September 10 after Julien was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. According to an arrest affidavit, Julien had been in Sellers’ care since September 7.

The affidavit states that on September 9, Sellers contacted Julien’s mother and instructed her to meet at the hospital. Sellers reportedly told the mother that Julien was not feeling well and had fallen from a couch. When officers arrived at the hospital, they learned that the tiny baby had been intubated and was suffering from skull fractures and torn nerve fibers in his brain.

Julien was only seven months old—a little child whose future should have been filled with innocent smiles, gentle embraces, first steps, first words, birthdays, and countless beautiful memories. Instead, his family is left facing an unimaginable sorrow.

There are no perfect words for the loss of a baby. His time may have been short, but his life had meaning, and his memory deserves to be held with tenderness and dignity.

May Julien’s name be remembered with love. May his family find strength through the darkest days, and may the memories of his precious presence remain forever etched in their hearts.

Rest peacefully, sweet Julien Grayson. 🕊️💙 Your little life mattered, and you will never be forgotten.
