Some lives leave this world far too soon, leaving behind unanswered questions, broken hearts, and memories that time can never erase. At just 22 years old, Jabriel Henderson, affectionately known as Ak A RtYb, lost his life in a tragic shooting that shook the Rochester community in Monroe County, New York.

According to Rochester police, Henderson was shot and killed on January 30, 2025, during an alleged drug-related robbery on Ellison Street. Investigators say he was robbed of two cellphones and two duffel bags containing marijuana, pills, and mushrooms.

When officers arrived, they discovered Jabriel in the driver’s seat of a crashed vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital, where efforts were made to save his life, but heartbreakingly, he did not survive.

More than a year after the devastating incident, police announced the arrest of 26-year-old Naisir Ross, who was taken into custody Wednesday in Brockport. Ross faces charges of murder, robbery, and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in Rochester City Court on Thursday morning.

Behind every tragic headline is a human being whose presence mattered, whose story deserved more chapters, and whose future held possibilities that will now remain unfulfilled.
