The Natchitoches, Louisiana, community is mourning the tragic loss of 55-year-old Tamela Berguin following a fatal stabbing incident on Saturday evening, October 31, 2026. Authorities arrested 33-year-old Darrell Davis, also of Natchitoches, who has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with her death.

At approximately 6:06 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 1500 block of Amulet Street. Upon arriving, they discovered Tamela suffering from multiple stab wounds. Sadly, the Natchitoches Parish Coronerโ€™s Office pronounced her deceased as a result of her injuries.

Darrell Davis was located inside the residence and taken into custody without incident. He was subsequently booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center as the investigation continued.

But beyond the police report and the heartbreaking circumstances of this tragedy was a 55-year-old woman whose life held meaning, whose presence mattered, and whose story deserved so much more than a painful ending.

For those who knew and loved Tamela, the pain of losing her is something words can hardly capture. Her absence leaves behind memories that cannot be replaced and a silence that may never truly feel the same.

No family should have to endure such a devastating loss. As the community reflects on this tragedy, may Tamela be remembered with compassion, dignity, and love.

May her memory remain a beautiful light in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Tamela Berguin. Gone too soon, remembered forever. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
