Daniel Sanchez Valencia, 26, of Wharton, New Jersey, tragically lost his life early Friday morning after being struck by his own Toyota SUV following a crash on Interstate 80 westbound near milepost 41.8 in Parsippany-Troy Hills.
According to preliminary information, Daniel was traveling westbound when he lost control of his SUV, veered off the roadway to the left, crossed a grassy median, and struck a tree. After the initial collision, he exited the vehicle. Tragically, the SUV rolled backward, struck him, and continued until it hit a second tree. Daniel suffered fatal injuries.
Behind this heartbreaking incident is a young life that deserved many more chapters, countless opportunities, beautiful memories, and brighter tomorrows. At just 26, Daniel’s journey came to an unexpected end, leaving a void that no words can adequately fill.
