A Life Forever Remembered.
A quiet Saturday morning in Columbiaville, Michigan, turned into a heartbreaking tragedy on October 3, 2026, when 65-year-old Lynn Goss of Columbiaville was killed in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of N. Lapeer Road (M-24) and Hickory Place Drive. Lynn was driving a 2012 Dodge Journey with her 42-year-old daughter when their vehicle entered the path of a northbound pickup traveling on M-24. The devastating broadside collision brought an unimaginable end to Lynn’s life.
Lapeer County Sheriff’s deputies arrived shortly after 9:11 a.m., joined by firefighters, emergency medical crews and other responding agencies. Rescue workers used hydraulic equipment to extricate those involved. Despite the efforts at the scene, Lynn was pronounced dead, leaving behind a silence that no words can truly describe.
Her daughter survived the crash and was transported to McLaren Lapeer in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the pickup truck were also unharmed. Investigators said alcohol and excessive speed did not appear to be contributing factors, and the circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
But beyond the investigation, reports and roadways is a woman whose life held meaning far greater than the tragedy that claimed it. Lynn was 65 years old—a lifetime filled with memories, experiences, familiar places, conversations and moments that can never be recreated.
Sometimes, an ordinary journey becomes a final journey without warning. A road that was simply part of a morning routine became the setting for an immeasurable loss.
Today, Lynn Goss is remembered with dignity and compassion. Her passing leaves a painful absence, but the memories created throughout her life will remain with those who knew her.
May every memory of Lynn bring comfort rather than only sorrow. May her loved ones find strength in the moments they shared, and may her name continue to be spoken with warmth and remembrance.
Rest peacefully, Lynn Goss. Your journey ended unexpectedly, but the memory of your life will continue long after that final road has disappeared from view. 🕊️
