Some losses leave a silence that words cannot fill, and some goodbyes come far too soon for a heart to understand. At just 16 years old, Kevin Brayden Bonner lost his life in a tragic shooting at the Highland Glen Apartment Complex in Walhalla, South Carolina, during the early morning hours of Friday, October 23, 2026. Authorities received a report of gunfire around 12:23 a.m., and Kevin was found inside the apartment where he lived.
💔 A LIFE THAT DESERVED SO MUCH MORE
Sixteen is an age when life should be opening its doors to countless possibilities. It is a time for dreams, friendships, laughter, new experiences, and hopes for a beautiful future. Kevin was still so young, with so much of life ahead of him and chapters yet to be written.
Tragically, despite the desperate life-saving efforts of emergency medical personnel and the Walhalla Fire Department, Kevin could not be saved. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:29 a.m. His death has been ruled a homicide, and authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking tragedy.
