With heavy hearts, we honor the memory of John Driggers, 49, who tragically lost his life in a devastating single-vehicle crash in Steinhatchee, Florida, on Monday evening. What began as an ordinary journey ended in an unimaginable tragedy, leaving behind sorrow and a life cut short far too soon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, troopers responded to the crash at approximately 7:20 p.m. after a Chevrolet pickup truck was discovered overturned in the woods near the intersection of SW Highway 361 and SW 844th Street. Investigators reported that the truck had been traveling northbound on SW Highway 361 when it veered off the roadway onto the shoulder. The driver reportedly overcorrected, crossed both lanes and the southbound shoulder, entered a ditch, and overturned before coming to rest in the woods facing south. John was pronounced dead at the scene.
