Today, we remember Jamil Wilson, whose life was tragically lost in a multi-vehicle collision on the New York State Thruway in White Plains, New York, on Monday afternoon. The devastating crash occurred on the westbound side of the Thruway near Exit 6. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, where a black SUV was found overturned on its side alongside vehicles belonging to the State Department of Transportation. The incident resulted in the closure of the right and center lanes, as well as the Exit 6 entrance ramp, for several hours. All lanes and ramps have since reopened.
