A HEARTBREAKING GOODBYE TO A LIFE TAKEN TOO SOON. 🕊️💔
Some goodbyes arrive without warning, leaving behind a silence that words can never fully explain. Today, we remember Eddie Maciel Jr., 33, whose life was tragically cut short in a heartbreaking incident along Interstate 37 on the Far South Side of San Antonio, Texas. Eddie was found dead in the grass beside the northbound lanes of I-37, just north of Loop 1604, after investigators determined that a passing vehicle likely struck him while he was crossing the highway.
According to authorities, the incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Wednesday and midnight. It was not until shortly after 8:30 a.m. Thursday that a tow truck driver noticed what appeared to be a body beside the roadway and immediately called for assistance. Officers arrived and found Eddie on the right side of the highway. Despite the response, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The medical examiner later confirmed that he died from blunt force injuries.
💔 At just 33 years old, Eddie had so much life ahead of him. There were still opportunities to embrace, memories waiting to unfold, and countless moments that tomorrow could have brought. Tragically, that future was taken away, leaving behind a story marked by sorrow and unanswered questions.
