💔🕊️17-YEAR-OLD AMIYA JANELLE HOGAN’S LIFE IS TRAGICALLY CUT SHORT IN HEARTBREAKING COLUMBIA COUNTY CRASH.

Some losses leave a silence that words can never fill, and some goodbyes arrive far too soon. 💔 Seventeen-year-old Amiya Janelle Hogan tragically lost her life Wednesday night in a devastating vehicle collision on Jimmie Dyess Parkway near Interstate 20 in Columbia County, leaving behind a story that ended much earlier than it should have.

At approximately 8:55 p.m., Amiya was seated in the front passenger seat of a 2010 Chrysler Sebring driven by 18-year-old Ni’yeya Chappell. As the Chrysler turned in front of a 2020 Mercury driven by 60-year-old Michael Pruett, the Mercury struck the passenger side of the Chrysler. The violent impact sent the vehicle spinning into a guardrail and a street sign. Amiya was rushed to a hospital, but heartbreakingly, her injuries proved fatal.

At just 17, Amiya still had so much life ahead of her, so many possibilities waiting beyond tomorrow, and so many chapters left unwritten. A young life filled with promise was suddenly taken, reminding us how fragile and unpredictable life can be. 🕊️

The crash also left Ni’yeya Chappell and 13-year-old passenger Alyssa Figueroa injured. Both were transported to Doctors Hospital for treatment. Authorities determined that Chappell was at fault, and charges are pending as she recovers. The investigation remains ongoing.

Today, we remember Amiya Janelle Hogan with tenderness and sorrow. Though her time on earth was painfully brief, her life mattered, and her memory deserves to be honored.

Rest peacefully, Amiya. May your name never be forgotten, and may your memory remain a light amid the darkness of this heartbreaking loss. 🕊️💐
