With profound sadness and aching hearts, we remember Jennifer Welch, 42, a beloved mother, sister, daughter, and human being whose life came to a heartbreaking end on September 16, 2026, in Nanaimo.
Jennifer was tragically struck by a commercial fuel truck while she was sleeping on the pavement near a gas station on Victoria Crescent. Her passing has left behind a family carrying unimaginable grief, and three children who will forever have an empty space where their mother should be.
Her sister, Danielle, remembered Jennifer not by the circumstances of her final days, but by the woman she had always been—a woman with a big heart, someone deeply loved by the people who knew her. Childhood photographs captured memories of two sisters smiling together, sharing adventures and precious moments that time could never erase.
