A FATAL MORNING ON I-95 LEAVES A LIFE GONE TOO SOON.
Some mornings begin with the promise of a new day, but for one family, October 12, 2026, became a date forever marked by heartbreak. 💔 Pankaj R. Bakshi, 50, of Floral Park, New York, tragically lost his life in a fatal two-vehicle collision on northbound Interstate 95 in Port Chester, New York.
According to New York State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 5:55 a.m. near mile marker 14.8. Investigators reported that Bakshi was driving a 2025 Chevrolet Suburban that had stopped in the left lane when another northbound 2025 Chevrolet Suburban struck his vehicle. Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures before he was transported to Greenwich Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced deceased. The other driver sustained minor injuries and was released after receiving treatment.
