With hearts heavy with sorrow, we pause to remember Roy Day, 68, of Hurricane, and Alison Ross, 58, of Nitro, whose lives were tragically taken in a devastating four-vehicle crash on the Dunbar Toll Bridge on Monday afternoon.
At approximately 3:10 p.m., an ordinary afternoon turned into a moment of unimaginable heartbreak. According to the South Charleston Police Department, Roy and Alison were identified as the two people who lost their lives in the collision. In an instant, families were left facing a pain no words can truly describe.
Roy and Alison were more than names in a tragic report. They were cherished human beings, loved by family and friends, connected to people and memories that can never be replaced. Each had a story, a lifetime of moments, smiles, conversations, dreams, and relationships that mattered deeply.
