On Tuesday morning, around 7:17 a.m., tragedy unfolded along U.S. 178 near the intersection of T.A. Fore Road. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu traveling east collided head-on with a westbound 2021 Dodge Durango. Hillary Rish, the driver of the Dodge Durango and its only occupant, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet Malibu were injured and transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
