Jihad Pack — A Young Life Taken Far Too Soon.

In Manhattan, New York, a heartbreaking act of violence claimed the life of 15-year-old Jihad Pack, whose young life came to a tragic end after a shooting at a NYCHA development on West 115th Street. The incident happened at approximately 6:21 p.m. Wednesday, when officers responded to 40 West 115th Street and found two males suffering from gunshot wounds. Jihad had been shot in the stomach, while a 57-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his right hand.

Jihad was rushed to a local hospital, but despite efforts to save him, the teenager was pronounced dead. At just 15 years old, he had so much life still waiting ahead of him—dreams yet to unfold, memories yet to be created, and moments that should have filled the years before him.

There is something especially painful about losing a young life before it has had the opportunity to experience all that the future could hold. A teenager should be thinking about tomorrow, surrounded by possibilities, laughter, friendships, hopes, and dreams. Instead, Jihad’s story has been marked by a sudden and devastating ending.

The news of his passing leaves behind a profound sense of sadness. In the quiet moments, his name becomes more than a headline—it becomes a reminder of a young person whose life mattered and whose absence will forever be felt by those who knew him.

A person of interest was taken into custody, while authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Today, we pause to remember Jihad Pack, a 15-year-old whose journey ended far too soon. May his memory remain a reminder of the preciousness of every young life, and may those grieving his loss find strength in the memories he left behind.

Rest peacefully, Jihad Pack. Your life was brief, but your memory will not be forgotten. 🕊️💔
