Douglas Vitale, 46, of Dover, Delaware, tragically lost his life in a devastating single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, October 4, in Hartly. The Delaware State Police said the collision occurred shortly after 5:10 a.m. on Arthursville Road, west of Gunter Road, when Vitale’s Ford Fusion was traveling eastbound and failed to negotiate a slight curve. The vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire. Vitale was pronounced deceased at the scene.
