A heartbreaking tragedy has claimed the lives of Danna Ruby, born December 6, 1998, and her beloved daughter, Ruby Arizbeth, born April 8, 2023, following a devastating crash on Interstate 95 in Stafford County, Virginia. The driver of the Dodge Charger involved, identified as 25-year-old Malik J. Thomas, has been charged with DUI and two counts of involuntary manslaughter. What should have been an ordinary Friday morning turned into an unimaginable nightmare, leaving a family mourning two precious lives at once.

According to Virginia State Police, the fatal collision occurred around 1:53 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2026, along northbound Interstate 95 near mile marker 141.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a Dodge Charger traveling at a high rate of speed struck the rear of a Nissan Rogue carrying the victims. The impact sent the Nissan Rogue off the left side of the interstate, causing it to overturn. The devastating collision resulted in the deaths of Danna and little Ruby.
