Gone Too Soon in a Heartbreaking Tragedy.

IN LOVING MEMORY: 10-Year-Old Malayshia Alford, Known as “May,” Gone Too Soon in a Heartbreaking Tragedy.

Some stories leave behind a sadness that words can barely describe. Some losses are so painful that even the deepest expressions of sympathy cannot capture the heartbreak. Today, our hearts go out to the family, loved ones, and everyone who knew 10-year-old Malayshia Alford, affectionately known as “May,” whose young life ended in a heartbreaking tragedy.

Malayshia’s remains were discovered inside the trunk of a vehicle at an apartment complex in Lindenwold, Camden County, New Jersey, after she had been missing for more than a week. Her disappearance began after she was last seen alive on October 22, 2026. She was reportedly living in the care of 36-year-old Caprice Williams at a home on North Simpson Street in West Philadelphia.

Authorities arrested Williams on Thursday, November 5, and charged her with murder in connection with the little girl’s death. Williams, who reportedly worked as an educator at Lewis C. Cassidy School in the Philadelphia School District, was also serving as Malayshia’s foster mother.

Investigators reportedly reviewed surveillance footage from the early morning hours of October 26, which appeared to show a body being removed from the Philadelphia residence. Information gathered during the investigation eventually led authorities to the location where Malayshia’s remains were found.

Behind every headline is a precious child whose life mattered, whose future deserved to unfold, and whose childhood should have been filled with laughter, protection, happiness, and beautiful memories.

Malayshia was only 10 years old. There were so many birthdays to celebrate, dreams to pursue, friendships to build, and beautiful moments she deserved to experience.

May her memory never be forgotten, and may those who loved her find strength through this unimaginable heartbreak.

Rest peacefully, little May. Your life mattered, your name deserves to be remembered, and you will never be forgotten. 🕊️💔

Our deepest condolences go out to everyone mourning this heartbreaking loss.
