Diane and Andy Bustos — A Love Remembered Beyond Goodbye.
With hearts heavy with sorrow, we remember Mrs. Diane Bustos, 74, and Mr. Andy Bustos, 77, whose lives were tragically taken in a devastating crash on Highway 84/285 in Santa Fe County, New Mexico, on September 16, 2026.
What began as an ordinary morning became a heartbreaking moment that changed everything. Diane and Andy were among three people attempting to change a tire on a vehicle stopped along the southbound shoulder when another southbound vehicle struck them. Despite the immediate efforts of deputies and emergency medical personnel, Diane suffered fatal injuries and passed away at the scene. Andy was transported to Christus St. Vincent Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Two lives that had shared years, memories, and countless moments together were suddenly silenced. Their passing leaves behind a space that words cannot fill—a silence felt by family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing them.
Seventy-four years of Diane’s life and seventy-seven years of Andy’s life carried stories, love, laughter, challenges, and cherished memories that will never disappear. Though their journey has ended, the love they gave and the memories they created remain behind like quiet stars in the darkness.
