FARMINGTON MOURNS A PRECIOUS 15-YEAR-OLD LIFE LOST TOO SOON.

A heartbreaking silence has fallen over Farmington, Michigan, following the tragic death of 15-year-old Reed Boyer, a young soul whose life was filled with promise, ambition, and dreams yet to be fulfilled. Reed’s life was tragically cut short after he was struck by a pickup truck while crossing Orchard Lake Road at Shiawassee. His sudden passing has left his family, school community, friends, and motocross family struggling with an unimaginable loss.

According to police, the devastating collision occurred during the evening hours while Reed was legally crossing the roadway within the crosswalk. Emergency responders rushed to help him, but despite their efforts, he sadly did not survive his injuries. The pickup truck driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities as the investigation continues.

Reed was remembered at school as an outstanding young individual whose leadership, enthusiasm, and determination made a meaningful difference. He carried a positive energy that inspired those around him and brought encouragement to classmates and teachers.

His passion for motocross also made him a cherished member of a community that celebrated his talent, dedication, and love for the sport. To his fellow riders, he was more than a teammate; he was part of a family.

At just 15, Reed had so much life ahead of him. There were more dreams to chase, more finish lines to cross, and countless memories waiting to be made. Sadly, those opportunities have been taken away far too soon.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Matt and Whitnie Boyer and everyone mourning this devastating loss.

May his beautiful memory live on forever. Rest peacefully, Reed. Gone too soon, but never forgotten. 🕊️❤️
