The world has been left with another heartbreaking loss as 23-year-old Ommie Milagros Figueroa Rodriguez of Norfolk, Virginia, tragically lost her life in a devastating three-vehicle crash on Interstate 64 in Virginia Beach Friday night. The fatal collision occurred at approximately 10:58 p.m. on westbound I-64 near Exit 17A for Independence Boulevard. According to Virginia State Police, a Dodge Charger was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed while involved in suspected street racing when it struck an Infiniti sedan.
The impact sent the Infiniti spinning before it was struck by an SUV. The Dodge Charger subsequently lost control and overturned several times, leaving behind a devastating scene.
Ommie, who was a passenger in the Dodge Charger, suffered fatal injuries. The driver, an adult male, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
