At approximately 10:40 a.m., Thomas was driving a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer northbound when it struck three parked vehicles: a 2023 Jeep Cherokee, a 2012 Dodge Caravan, and a 2006 BMW 520. The truck then veered off the roadway, struck two utility poles, an embankment, and a house before overturning. Tragically, Thomas suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
