A Beautiful Soul Gone Too Soon at Just 25.
Some losses leave the world feeling a little quieter, reminding us how fragile life truly is and how quickly everything can change. Today, we remember Avery Lewis Center, 25, of Easley, South Carolina, whose life was tragically cut short in a devastating motorcycle crash on Wednesday morning, October 21, 2026, in Powdersville.
At approximately 8:39 a.m., Avery was riding a 2026 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on Anderson Road near McNeely Road when his motorcycle collided with a westbound 2018 Nissan Frontier pickup attempting to turn left onto Anderson Road from a private drive. The impact sent Avery off the roadway and threw him from his motorcycle into a legally parked 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee near Powdersville Self Storage. Although he was wearing a helmet, he sustained multiple traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Twenty-five years is far too short for a life to end. Avery’s future held possibilities, new experiences, and countless moments that he should have had the opportunity to live. His sudden passing is a painful reminder that tomorrow is never promised and that every life is precious beyond measure.
While the circumstances of this tragedy are being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, the pain of losing a young life remains immeasurable. Behind every heartbreaking headline is a person whose existence mattered and whose absence will be deeply felt by those who knew him.
Today, we honor Avery’s memory with compassion and respect, recognizing a life that ended far too soon but will never be insignificant.
🕊️ Rest peacefully, Avery Lewis Center. May your memory live on, and may those grieving your loss find comfort and strength through the darkest days.
Forever remembered, never forgotten. 🖤
