A LIFE REMEMBERED, A HEARTFELT FAREWELL, AND A LOSS THAT ECHOES THROUGH THE SILENCE.

With heavy hearts, we remember William Folts, 67, of Shortsville, New York, who tragically lost his life in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Number Nine Road and Route 245 in Seneca, Ontario County. At approximately 1 p.m., William was driving a 2024 Mazda CX-5 southbound on Number Nine Road when his vehicle collided with a westbound pickup truck driven by 60-year-old Michael Dewall of Stanley after failing to stop at a stop sign, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

The impact was devastating. First responders arrived to find both drivers unconscious and trapped inside their vehicles, requiring emergency crews to extricate them. Despite the efforts of those who rushed to help, William sadly died at the scene. Michael Dewall was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where he was reported to be in critical condition that evening.

Behind this heartbreaking news is a life that has now come to an unexpected end. At 67, William’s journey was interrupted by a tragedy that no one could have anticipated. His passing leaves a painful reminder of how quickly an ordinary afternoon can become a moment of unimaginable sorrow.

As emergency personnel worked tirelessly at the scene, the surrounding community was confronted with the heartbreaking reality of a life lost and another hanging in the balance.

May William Folts be remembered with dignity, compassion, and tenderness. Though his journey has ended, his name remains, and his memory deserves a place of honor in the hearts of those who remember him.

Rest peacefully, William Folts. Gone from this world, but never beyond the reach of remembrance. 🕊️💔
