In Loving Memory of Rick Browder: A Beautiful Soul Whose Love Will Live Forever.

A Beautiful Soul Whose Love Will Live Forever.

Some people leave this world quietly, but their love leaves an echo that never fades. Today, we remember Rick Browder, a beloved father, friend, mentor, and cherished soul whose presence meant more to so many people than words could ever fully express.

Rick was more than a dad. He was someone who opened his heart and his home when others needed somewhere to belong. He stood beside his loved ones through difficult seasons, offered support when life felt overwhelming, and gave the kind of love that became a permanent part of the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him.

When Rick was facing his battle with stage 4 brain cancer, his family and friends surrounded him with prayers, hope, encouragement, and unwavering love. Even through uncertainty and fear, his faith continued to inspire those around him. His words, “Let your faith be bigger than your fear,” became more than a message—they became a reflection of the strength he carried within.

Rick’s absence will be felt in countless little moments: in conversations that can no longer happen, in laughter that suddenly feels quieter, in darts, family memories, old jokes, and the simple comfort of knowing he was there.

To his children, family, friends, and everyone who loved him, may the memories of Rick become a gentle light during the darkest days. Though his earthly journey has ended, the love he gave remains.

Rest peacefully, Rick. Your battles are over, your soul is at peace, and your memory will never be forgotten. ❤️🙏

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.

Bruce Gress, 42, of Toms River, New Jersey, was taken from this world far too soon, leaving behind a painful silence where a life, a presence, and countless memories once remained. His death has been linked to a fatal shooting, and Douglas Cobb, 51, of Toms River, has been charged with murder in connection with Bruce’s death.

Bruce’s final moments were marked by tragedy, but his life deserves to be remembered for so much more than the circumstances surrounding his passing. Behind his name was a human being who shared moments, created memories, and became part of the lives of others.

On Friday morning, Bruce was fatally shot at the Wawa near Route 37 and Garfield Avenue. He was later pronounced dead at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. In a moment that changed everything, a family and a community were left with a grief that cannot be measured.

Curtis was traveling eastbound in a 2016 Freightliner when, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the semi experienced a left front steer tire blowout near mile marker 378, between Wells and Wendover. In a heartbreaking chain of events, the truck veered from the roadway, crossed the center median, and overturned across both westbound lanes.

Curtis suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passing is more than a tragic headline—it is the loss of a human being whose life, memories, kindness, and presence meant something deeply to the people who knew and loved him. Behind every mile he traveled was a life filled with moments that can never be replaced and memories that will forever remain.

A westbound passenger vehicle was struck by debris from the crash, though thankfully no injuries were reported among those occupants. The westbound lanes remained closed for several hours as authorities worked through the difficult aftermath.

As investigators continue to determine the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking collision, may Curtis Vernon Okelberry be remembered not for the tragedy that ended his journey, but for the life he lived and the memories he left behind.

Four-year-old Jahmeik Modlin should have been learning, laughing, playing, and growing surrounded by love. Instead, his precious life ended in unimaginable circumstances, leaving behind a heartbreaking reminder of how deeply vulnerable children depend on the adults entrusted with their care.

Jahmeik was found dead on October 13 inside a Harlem apartment, weighing only 19 pounds. His three siblings, ages 5, 6, and 7, were hospitalized with severe malnutrition and were reported to have shown significant developmental difficulties. Their recovery has begun with medical care and nourishment, but the circumstances they endured are devastating to comprehend.

According to prosecutors and court documents, the children allegedly suffered prolonged neglect and starvation.
