Mariah Brielle — A Life Taken Too Soon. 🕊️💔
With profound sadness, we remember Mariah Brielle, whose life was tragically cut short in Knoxville, Tennessee, on September 19, 2026. Lerisha Williams, 45, and Quinshayla Williams, 22, have been arrested and charged in connection with the deadly shooting that also left another woman and a man injured. As the investigation continues, a grieving heart is left asking how a life so precious could disappear in such a heartbreaking way.
In the early morning hours, around 5:30 a.m., Knoxville police officers responded to a reported shooting on East Hill Avenue. Three people had been struck by gunfire. Mariah was transported to Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries.
Another woman and a man survived the shooting and were treated for injuries that authorities described as non-life-threatening. Their survival, however, does not erase the pain of losing Mariah.
According to investigators, Lerisha Williams was identified as a suspect in the shooting that killed the woman and was charged with reckless homicide and weapons offenses. Quinshayla Williams was identified as the person accused of shooting the surviving woman and man and faces two counts of attempted first-degree murder along with additional weapons charges.
Beyond the investigation and the headlines was a human life—a person with people who loved her, memories that mattered, and a place in the hearts of those who knew her.
Tonight, those who loved Mariah are left with photographs, memories, unanswered questions, and an emptiness words cannot fill.
Rest peacefully, Mariah Brielle. 🕊️🌹 May your memory live on through every person who loved you, every life you touched, and every beautiful memory you left behind. Gone too soon, but never forgotten. 💔
