Perez, a 19-year-old young woman from Brent, Alabama, whose life was tragically cut short in a devastating head-on collision on Thursday evening, October 15, in Tuscaloosa County. Around 7 p.m., a van carrying Carina collided with a pickup truck on Alabama Highway 216 near the 24-mile marker, approximately two miles west of Lake View. Carina suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving behind a heartbreaking reminder of how suddenly life can change.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udc94 Nineteen years old\u2014a life filled with possibilities, dreams yet to unfold, and chapters that will now remain unwritten. It is difficult to comprehend how someone so young can be taken away in a moment, leaving behind a silence that words can never fully explain. At an age when the future should be opening its doors, Carina\u2019s journey came to an unexpected and heartbreaking end.<\/p>\n<p>The pickup\u2019s 21-year-old driver from McCalla and the van\u2019s driver were also injured and transported to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital for treatment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic collision.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f Today, we pause to honor Carina\u2019s memory and acknowledge the preciousness of every life. Her story reminds us that tomorrow is never promised, and every moment we share with those around us is a gift we should never take for granted.<\/p>\n<p>May Carina V.
