With hearts heavy with sorrow, we remember Renisha Thompson, the woman who tragically lost her life on Wednesday afternoon in Memphis, Tennessee, after a police pursuit ended in a devastating multi-vehicle crash. What began as a pursuit involving a wanted driver turned into an unimaginable tragedy near West Shelby Drive, West Levi Road, and South Third Street, leaving Renisha dead and two others injured.<\/p>\n
According to authorities, 32-year-old Justin Thomas was being monitored by members of the Memphis Safe Task Force after previously fleeing from agents during a traffic stop. When Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, Thomas allegedly fled, striking four vehicles during the pursuit. Renisha, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
