At approximately 8:53 p.m., police responded to the 2700 block of North Monitor Avenue, where Derrianna was discovered suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. She was rushed to Loyola University Medical Center, but tragically, her life could not be saved. \ud83d\udc94\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f<\/p>\n<p>Eighteen years is such a tender age to say goodbye. Derrianna was still so young, with so much life ahead of her and countless possibilities waiting beyond tomorrow. A young woman who deserved the chance to grow, chase her dreams, experience happiness, and create beautiful memories has instead become the subject of a heartbreaking farewell.<\/p>\n<p>The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Authorities have not determined whether the gunfire was accidental or intentional. A juvenile male described as a person of interest was questioned and later released without charges. As of October 15, no suspect remains in custody, and Chicago police continue investigating the devastating incident.<\/p>\n<p>Behind every headline is a human life, and behind Derrianna\u2019s name are loved ones now facing a loss no words can adequately heal.
