With heavy hearts, we remember Charles \u201cCharlie\u201d Lee Blessinger, Sr., an 88-year-old beloved resident of Jasper, Indiana, whose life came to a heartbreaking end following a two-vehicle collision in Huntingburg on Monday, October 12, 2026. The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and 19th Street, when Charlie entered the intersection from 19th Street and collided with a northbound pickup truck. Both vehicles traveled down an embankment, leaving both drivers seriously injured. Charlie was transported to Deaconess Memorial in Jasper, where he later passed away.<\/p>\n
Born on January 25, 1938, in Huntingburg, Charlie built a life filled with hard work, generosity, and cherished relationships. He proudly served six years in the National Guard before retiring as a supervisor from Jasper Desk.<\/p>\n
Beyond his professional life, Charlie found happiness in farming, gardening, coaching softball, and bowling. He was known for sharing fresh vegetables with neighbors, offering warm smiles, and brightening conversations with a joke or two. Above all, he was a devoted family man who proudly cheered for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
