Though words can never fully express the pain of such a heartbreaking loss, we hold close the memories, moments, and love that made his life meaningful.<\/p>\n<p>Varnell\u2019s journey came to a sudden and devastating end on Camp Jackson Road in Cahokia Heights, where he was struck by two vehicles. He was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 8:52 p.m. The circumstances surrounding the tragedy are being investigated as a hit-and-run, leaving behind a family, friends, and loved ones facing a sorrow that no words can easily heal.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight, we remember not the tragedy, but the life behind the name\u2014the moments shared, the smiles remembered, the kindness given, and the memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.<\/p>\n<p>May Varnell\u2019s memory become a gentle light in the darkness of grief. May the love he gave continue to live through every story told, every photograph cherished, and every beautiful memory kept alive.<\/p>\n<p>Some people leave this world, but they never truly leave us.
