At approximately 2:03 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the Salt Water Barrier in the 6700 block of Bigner in connection with a large disturbance. As officers made their way to the area, dispatch reported several vehicles leaving at a high rate of speed. During the incident, one vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and crashed into a parked flatbed trailer.<\/p>\n
Alyssa, who was riding in the front passenger seat, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver was transported to a Houston-area hospital in critical condition. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking crash.<\/p>\n
