On the quiet morning of October 7, 2026, tragedy unfolded along Log Shoals Road near James Shaver Trail in Greenville County, South Carolina, when 28-year-old Dajuanta Israel Glenn of Simpsonville was struck by a vehicle. First responders rushed to the scene shortly after 7:00 a.m., and Glenn was transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital as every effort was made to save his life. Sadly, at 8:03 a.m., a life filled with possibilities was pronounced gone.

Some moments change everything.

A road that began as an ordinary part of the morning became the setting of an unimaginable tragedy. In only a matter of moments, a young life was taken, leaving behind sorrow, unanswered questions, and memories that can never be replaced.

Dajuanta Israel Glenn was just 28 years old — far too young for his story to end. At an age when there should have been countless opportunities ahead, there were still dreams to chase, places to see, experiences to embrace, and new memories waiting to be made. His journey was interrupted far too suddenly.

There are losses that words can never fully explain. No sentence can truly capture the weight of a life lost without warning. No photograph can recreate the moments that will never happen again. And no passage of time can change the fact that someone who was here yesterday is suddenly no longer here today.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office responded to both the scene and the hospital. An autopsy was scheduled for October 8 as authorities continue working to determine the cause and manner of death. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Coroner’s Office remain involved in the investigation, while the circumstances surrounding the collision have not yet been released.

Today, Dajuanta’s name stands as a reminder of how fragile life can be. Behind the headlines and investigation is a human life — a young man whose future should have continued unfolding.

May the memories of Dajuanta Israel Glenn outshine the sadness of this tragic day. May his name be spoken with respect, remembered with compassion, and carried forward long after the silence has settled.

Gone from this world far too soon, but never beyond the reach of memory.

🕊️ Rest peacefully, Dajuanta Israel Glenn. Your life mattered, your story mattered, and your memory will not be forgotten. 🕯️
