Johnathan and Lisa Skinner were found dead Saturday morning inside their home on Williams Street in Kenton, Gibson County, after authorities responded to a welfare-check call. What began as a request to make sure everything was alright ended in a heartbreaking discovery that has left two families grieving and a community struggling to comprehend such a profound loss. In the quiet of a home that once held the ordinary moments of everyday life, two lives were suddenly found gone.

According to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, officers arrived at the residence after receiving the welfare-check request. Once inside, they discovered Johnathan and Lisa and secured the scene. Their families were formally notified, bringing unimaginable sorrow to those who loved and cared about them.

The Gibson County Forensic Office responded, and autopsies were ordered for both Johnathan and Lisa as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances and causes of their deaths. Investigators continue examining the case, while officials have reassured the public that there is no active threat to the community.

But behind the investigation are two human beings whose lives meant far more than the circumstances surrounding their passing. Johnathan and Lisa had their own stories, memories, familiar routines, hopes, conversations, and moments that mattered. Their absence now leaves an emptiness that cannot be measured by words.

There is a particular sadness in losing two people from the same home at once—the sudden stillness, the unanswered questions, and the memories that may now feel painfully precious. The rooms they once occupied may remain, but the presence of the people who gave those spaces meaning is forever changed.

As their loved ones navigate this devastating loss, may they find comfort in every beautiful memory Johnathan and Lisa left behind. May time soften the sharpest edges of grief without ever erasing the lives they lived.

🕊️ May Johnathan and Lisa Skinner rest peacefully together, remembered with love, dignity, and compassion. Their names may be written in a report, but their lives will forever be more than a story of tragedy. 🕊️
