A peaceful morning in Putnam County, Georgia, turned into a scene of unimaginable heartbreak when Steven Ray Reynolds, 51, and Cassidi Autumn Porter, 28, tragically lost their lives in a devastating head-on collision at Highway 212 and Twin Bridges Road. The crash occurred around 7:20 a.m. when a Chevrolet Silverado traveling behind a southbound vehicle stopped to turn crossed around it and collided head-on with a northbound Hyundai Palisade.

In a moment that changed everything, two lives were taken, leaving behind grieving loved ones and memories that will forever be treasured. No words can adequately express the sorrow that follows such a sudden and heartbreaking loss.

Cassidi’s two young sons were also injured in the crash and transported to a hospital in Macon. Their mother, Alisha Kaye Porter, 51, who was driving the Hyundai, suffered critical injuries and remains hospitalized. As these little children begin a difficult journey toward healing, the hearts of many go out to them and everyone affected by this devastating tragedy.

Steven and Cassidi deserved more mornings, more laughter, more beautiful moments, and more opportunities to embrace the people they loved. Sadly, their journeys ended far too soon, leaving behind an emptiness that time alone cannot erase.

May their memories remain a gentle light in the darkness of grief, and may those who loved them find strength in the moments they shared.

The crash remains under investigation, with charges pending.

🕊️ Rest in eternal peace, Steven Ray Reynolds and Cassidi Autumn Porter. Gone from this world, but never forgotten. Your lives mattered, your memories endure, and your names will forever be held in loving remembrance.
