With profound sadness, Donald Freeman, 79, of Omaha, Nebraska, John Gravelle, 37, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and a second service worker whose identity has not yet been released have lost their lives in a devastating triple-fatality crash on Interstate 35 in Love County, Oklahoma, Friday night. A second semi-truck struck the rear of a semi-truck parked on the shoulder while two workers were underneath performing repairs, claiming all three lives in a heartbreaking instant.

The tragedy has left behind a painful reminder of how unexpectedly life can change. What began as an ordinary moment of work on the roadside became an unimaginable disaster, forever altering the lives of families who now face the unbearable reality of losing someone they love.

John Gravelle, just 37, had so much of life’s journey potentially still ahead. Donald Freeman, at 79, carried decades of experiences, memories, and moments that helped shape his life’s story. The third victim, whose name remains unknown to the public, was equally precious, deserving of dignity and remembrance.

The driver of the semi-truck that had been parked on the shoulder was injured in the collision. As the community reflects on this devastating incident, grieving families are left to navigate a sorrow that words can never fully capture.

Behind every life lost is a family whose world has changed forever, friends who will miss familiar conversations, and memories that will now be treasured more deeply than ever.

May Donald Freeman, John Gravelle, and the unidentified worker rest in eternal peace. May their loved ones find strength, comfort, and courage through the darkest days of grief.
