With profound sadness, we remember 22-month-old Kozzar J. Lotut, 51-year-old Melissa E. Campbell, and 67-year-old Gale F. Sanders, who were found dead with apparent gunshot wounds inside a residence in the 200 block of North Cherry Street in Gnadenhutten, Ohio, early Wednesday morning, October 21, 2026. Authorities were alerted after a 911 call was disconnected shortly after 4:17 a.m., and dispatchers reportedly heard a faint voice saying “help” during a callback attempt.

Some tragedies leave behind questions that words cannot answer, and some losses are so heartbreaking that even silence feels unbearably heavy. Today, three lives are remembered, each precious in its own way, each carrying a story that deserved more chapters.

Among those lost was little Kozzar J. Lotut, just 22 months old—a child whose life had barely begun, with so much of the world still waiting to be discovered. At an age when childhood should be filled with innocent laughter, loving arms, and beautiful first experiences, this little life ended in circumstances that have left many hearts aching.

Melissa E. Campbell, 51, and Gale F. Sanders, 67, were also among the three people found deceased. Their lives, experiences, memories, and the moments they shared with loved ones deserve to be remembered with dignity and compassion.

The Tuscarawas County Coroner ordered autopsies, and authorities say the investigation remains ongoing. The official causes and manners of death are pending.

May those grieving find strength amid unimaginable sorrow. May truth emerge, and may these three lives never be reduced to a tragic headline.

Gone from sight, but never beyond the reach of remembrance. Rest in peace, Kozzar, Melissa, and Gale. 🕊️💔
